Flohio, a British-Nigerian rapper from south London, is using her hard-hitting lyricism and fast-paced delivery, combined with experimental grime and industrial electronic beats, to eclipse the pool of talent emerging from the UK rap scene.

After releasing her Nowhere Near solo EP in 2016 and her track Fights with London production duo God Colony in 2017, Flohio, whose real name is Funmi Ohiosumah, earned endorsements from fellow musicians and tastemakers, as well as iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell, who selected the 25 year old to feature as one of Vogue’s ’10 women changing our future’. Since then, the rapper has made it onto the BBC’s Sound of 2019 longlist, competing against the likes of Mahalia, Octavian, Ella Mai, Rosalia and Slowthai.
